The President's Dinner is one of our favorite Gutenberg traditions
Every winter term, in the middle of the gloomy and rainy PNW season, students, faculty, and friends come together to enjoy a home cooked meal prepared by the school President. Students bring jokes and stories that they share during the dinner. Current students now create and perform entire skits! Students are given a theme or genre that they can follow or parody. Over the last 29 years, the President's dinner has seen many variations of this, from Ancient epics and Arthurian legends, to Space Operas. Skits most often come as comedies (although tragedies have been snuck in), that poke fun at historical figures, ideas, philosophies, and fellow classmates . It's a great time had by all.
