Harrop and Valdes Named to NWAC South Region Teams
Baylor Harrop (Freshman) and Talon Valdes (Sophomore) were named to NWAC South All-Region teams for their performances during the regular season.
Harrop was named to the All-Defensive team. This year he has snagged 144 rebounds, gotten 24 steals, and scored 374 points. Baylor scored a career-high 24 points against Clark on January 21st. He is also ranked 9th in the NWAC for his free throw percentage (84.7%).
Valdes was named ot the All-Region Second Team. He has recorded 122 assists, 32 steals, and has scored 404 points. Valdes scored a season-high 26 points against Linn-Benton on January 11th, and recorded 11 assists on December 4th against Highline.
The RiverHawks won the play-in game against Mt. Hood on Monday night (March 6th), and will take the South Region #4 spot going into the NWAC Playoffs. The team will play Lower Columbia (West #1) in the Sweet Sixteen of the Championships on Friday, March 10th at 8:00pm. All NWAC Championship games will be held at Columbia Basin College in Pasco, Washington.
