The Douglas County Public Works Department (DCPW) has closed North Fork Smith River Road on Highway 48 (DC48A) due to a landslide that occurred between Wednesday night, November 2, and early Thursday morning, November 3. Both lanes of travel are currently blocked with large boulders and other debris. DCPW crews have deployed equipment to the area to clear the debris. It is currently unknown how long the road will remain closed, but the County will provide updated information as it becomes available.
