Myrtle Point Ace Hardware to give away American flags

Myrtle Point Ace Hardware will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

Oregon lost 202 soldiers in the Korean war and 416 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 427 Spruce St, Myrtle Point will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Coquille Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Myrtle Point Ace Hardware while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Myrtle Point Ace Hardware is located at 427 Spruce St, Myrtle Point, Oregon. This location is owned by Charles A. Simpson II, represented by Jason Brandow and managed by Deece Dickenson.
