A second series of free, at-home COVID-19 self tests are available to order from the U.S. Government, federal officials announced in early March.
Starting in January, each household was allowed to request four COVID home tests, ordered and shipped for free. Most tests were delivered within two weeks, during the height of the Omicron variant surge when many people were in need of increased testing.
Each person who places an order will receive four rapid COVID tests. Orders can be placed online at https://www.covidtests.gov/.
To place an order for free COVID tests:
- Visit the website
- Click the blue button that says “Order Free At-Home Tests”
- Fill in your name and address for shipping
- Click the button that says “Check Out Now”
- Click the button that says “Place My Order”
Officials said those who did not place a first order for COVID tests can still place both first and second orders. To order both rounds of tests (total of eight at-home COVID tests), officials say complete the online order process two times.
Immediate results from testing has become a reduced need for many Americans. Oregon’s indoor mask mandate ends at the end of the day on Friday, March 11 due to COVID-19 infection rates dropping regionally.
