Alabama track and field ranks in the top 10 in both the men’s and women’s USTFCCCA Program of the Year standings, making the Crimson Tide one of just four schools to have both teams in the top 10. The men came in at No. 8, while the women were No. 9.

The standings are based a school’s national finish in cross country, indoors and outdoors. The Alabama men finished 11th outdoors, 13th indoors and 27th in cross country. The UA women were 15th in both cross country and the outdoor championships and 28th indoors.

Dan Waters’ Alabama squads have earned four top-10 finishes over the past four full seasons (there were no standings during the 2019-20 season due to the CoVID-19 pandemic). In addition to this year’s top-10 finishes, the men were named the 2017-18 John McDonnell Program of the Year, while the UA women posted their highest finish in the Terry Crawford Program of the Year standings following the 2020-21 season, taking third.
